NGO Activities : Established in the year, 1996, with registration (No. 115 of 1996) on 28th March 1996, the Janjati Rastrabhasha Prachar Shabha, Churachandpur got prrmission of the Assam Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Guwahati on 16-7-2008. This humble institution took more than 10 years to capture the appreciation of the tribal students in Churachandpur District (ST) where more attention is given to English language and western education. As such the indifference shown by the tribal community was, indeed, a problem. However, with the consistent and concerted effort made by the Janajati Rastra Prachar Sabha, Churachandpur, 75 (seventyfive) schools could be established. We have been performing many academic programmes also. We have been conducting classes and examinations at different levels such as Prabodha, Bisarath and Pravin. On an average the strength of student is 150. The Janjati Rastra Bhasha Sabha observed found day of the institution on 28th March every year. We also observe this day as Hindi-Day to highlight the increasing significance of the hindi language and also to strengthen the emotional integration. This foundation day is largely attended. every year on 5th September we organise Teachers day and many learned scholars of the tribal area spoke on the occasion about the role of Hindi as a national language. Now because of these academic programmes the local people have realized imperative of learning both English and Hindi. we also observe Childrens day on 14th November every year to mark the occasion of the birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. the first Prime Minister of India. Children from places join the painting competition in hindi. on 1st January every year we observe Hindi Student day those students who have passed from this school attend the Auction. This colourful occasion has become a new input for attraction of tribal boys and girls to learn Hindi. Some of their have been placed in good position in many departments. On 5th April every year, we organize the get-together of Teachers and guardians of students of this Hindi School. The guardians are visibly happy to attend the get- together.
