ACTIVITIES

NGO Activities : Multi Applied System (MAS) are a platform of interdisciplinary professionals working in the area of development since 1994. It is registered under the Societies Act of 1860. It manages its functions through three divisions namely ‘Consulting’, ‘Training’ and ‘Action’ under the same governing body. The ‘Consulting’ Division undertakes assignments of the nature of Research, Study of various kinds like, Baseline, Evaluation, Pre-funding, Mid-Term and End-Term’. They are the institutional monitor for CAPART and have done studies numbering about 30 proposals. They also have served organization like Ministry of Agriculture, GoO, NRHM, LEPRA Society, Orissa, Department of Rural Development (TSC Programme), GoO, Orissa Renewable Energy Development Agency, GoO, Orissa Remote Sensing Application Centre, GoO, Micro Insurance Academy, New Delhi, Population Foundation of India, New Delhi. The ‘Action’ division undertakes Action Projects funded by different donor organizations. They are currently implementing projects funded by CAPART and are the Nodal NGO for the district of Keonjhar, Orissa and implementing the NNGO scheme covering projects like Rain Water Harvesting (RWH), Rural Young Professionals (RYP), Village Knowledge Centre (VKC). They have done a National Integration Camp funded by Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, GoI and are implementing a project called ‘HePA- Health promotion for adolescent girls’ to reduce iron Deficiency Anemia and other health related issues among adolescent girls in Ganjam, Orissa funded by Population Foundation of India. The ‘Training’ Division undertakes the activities like capacity building and skill development exclusively as assigned by the client or as components of Action Projects. They have undertaken training programmes like ‘Yuva Jyoti’ of CAPART for 200 beneficiaries, done workshop on ‘Improving Interpersonal Communication’ for the VLHWs for PFI and have done a state level workshop create advocacy goals and generating support for strengthening TB and HIV Control Programmes in Orissa under Project ‘Sahyog’ of LEPRA Society.
